- Mary Anna Garman was the preeminent Bishir genealogist of the mid-20th century.
Name and birth data from IGI-C. Birth is recorded in Highland Co. Per Julie Monson: "marriage record of Mary Anna Bishir to John Wesley Garman on 17 Nov 1892 in Highland County Marriages, 1880-1900 by Genevieve Breakfield, 1993, call no. US/CAN 977.1845, v2b at the Family History Library in SLC on April 5, 2008. She is listed as "Anna Bisher", and they were married by W.J. McSurely, recorded in Book 12, p. 87 of the marriage records. The record I saw was on p. 47 of the book, Highland County Marriages, 1880-1900.?
