- Harold started school in Alpha, Ohio and attended a one-room school house in Indian Riffle Hill. Their house was on a hill by the Little Miami River (which later was a sportsmans club out of Dayton.) Harold served in WW II with the Military Police in Camp McPherson, GA and as a Medical Aidman and ambulance driver. He earned the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct ribbon, and the Victory Medal. He was discharged as a PFC on 5 Jan 1946 in Indiana. During the war, Harold met and married his wife. Harold lived in Glendale, California for most of his married life. Harold died of Emphasima.
