      Donald F. Dean, 76, of Visalia passed away Monday, October 30, 2006.

      Donald was born in Visalia on July 25, 1930. After serving in the US Navy he married Sylvia Mayberry in 1950. They enjoyed 56 years together. He worked for Knudsen's Creamery for 33 years and served as President of the Teamsters Union for three years.

      Donald was a member of the Ivanhoe Church of the Nazarene where he attended every Sunday. He was very active in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

      Survivors include his loving wife, Sylvia; son, Donald Dean and wife, Brenda of Grassvalley, Calif.; daughter, Barbara Jensen and husband, David of Visalia; daughter, Patsy Tormohlen and husband, Jon of Visalia; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters and two brothers.

      Husband, Dad, Grandpa, you are always in our hearts. Through your strength and integrity you have shown us how to live our lives to the fullest. You were always there for us when we needed you. Your family was the world to you. We will love and miss you forever.

      Graveside services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at the Visalia Cemetery. Arrangements are by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
