Notes |
- The family was living in Oxford, Benton, Indiana in 1930.
It was Arthur's grandchildren's generation that changed the way the name was pronounced. It was alway's spelled Bishir but, pronounced like it was Basher. We got tired of having to correct people on pronouncing it that we just gave into it.So we to pronounced it Bishir. I remember Aunt Fannie would really get upset set over it. Her word's would be " I have been in this family longer than any of you and it's not Bishir it is pronouced Basher and she said it was because it was German.
