    • SHEPHERDSTOWN - Earle Pardee Bisher, 78, of Shepherdstown died June 7, 1999, at home.

      He was a chemical engineer and an independent consultant for the state Environmental Protection Agency, Charleston, in charge of water quality control. He was chief chemical engineer of waste water treatment for NASA. He was a graduate of Clemson University and performed graduate studies at Penn State University. He was a member of the American Association of Chemical Engineers, Scottish rite bodies, Bahai Shrine and Masonic Lodge, Merritt Island, Fla. He was a former member of Shepherdstown Town Council, a member of Christ Church United Methodist, Charleston, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

      Surviving: wife, Mary Lenore Pace Bisher; son, Paul Harrison Bisher II of Shepherdstown; daughter, Marcy Ann Bisher of Shepherdstown; sister, Elizabeth J. Cooley of Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren.

      Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests donations to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
